We are excited to be expanding the team. The (Associate) Director Corporate Development will have an integral role in shaping our portfolio strategy and growth plan. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance, the (Associate) Director Corporate Development will execute a wide array of projects encompassing competitive intelligence, financial analysis, corporate strategy, and early commercial product planning to enable us to meet its corporate goals. The multifaceted nature of the position allows for many professional development opportunities and career paths as we grow. The role is best suited for an accomplished biotech or life sciences professional with both strategic and tactical implementation experience.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Work closely with the corporate development team on strategy, and financing efforts
- Increasingly help design and implement corporate strategy, gather and synthesize competitive intelligence, conceptualize, source, evaluate, and drive partnering opportunities, other strategic transactions, and internal initiatives
- Strategy: support development and implementation of strategic plans and monitor competitive and broader IO landscape for developing trends, opportunities and risks. An ideal candidate would proactively provide informed perspectives on these strategic developments
- Sourcing: support sourcing new partnering opportunities by reviewing literature, and attending industry partnering conferences and scientific & medical meetings
- Evaluation: Evaluate potential transactions to assess the scientific and strategic value of potential partnering opportunities and provide insights based on outputs
- Execution: Support team members from initial deal structure through final negotiation of in-licensing and out-licensing transactions; prepare corporate development deliverables for internal team, board members, investors and external stakeholders.

Education
A Graduate Degree (MBA, MD, PhD) and 3+ years of relevant experience in the biopharmaceutical industry or biomedical research, including: consulting, investment banking, and public/private investing, or
An Undergraduate Degree in a science focused discipline with 6-8years of proven experience in corporate or business development in biotech or pharma.
• Experiences and Key Skill sets:
o Excellent critical thinking, data synthesis, and contextualization skills
o Strong financial modeling skills and advanced financial understanding
o Preferred – Previous experience with commercial market building in the immune oncology space
o Preferred – Previous experience demonstrating an ability to effectively negotiate and execute legal/business agreements
o Preferred–Previous experience working as a member of a deal team to successfully close licensing/collaboration agreements, and ability to read agreements critically
Travel Requirements
The role requires a willingness to travel to various in-person team meetings, medical conferences, and partner or investor events
