Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the bioinformatics lead for all internal programs, with a focus on designing and analyzing genome editing strategies and off-target analysis (e.g. Guide-Seq, CIRCLE-Seq, Amp-Seq, etc)
- Process project data using various bioinformatic tools related to next generation sequencing and develop methods for optimizing the data analysis pipeline
- Contribute to the overall toxicology strategy for all programs, throughout the drug development lifecycle with an emphasis on lead candidate selection
- Perform management of in-house and/or outsourced biostatisticians/programmers, and mentor these team members as required
- Help establish and maintain company data standards, within and across programs
- Serve as a general bioinformatics resource at the company
Position Requirements
- PhD in Biostatistics or related discipline with 5-7+ years biopharmaceutical industry experience; MS in Biostatistics or related discipline with 10+ years biopharmaceutical industry experience will be considered
- Strong coding skills required, fluency in R, Shell, Python, etc, and experience with data processing, statistical analysis, and data visualization including in a cloud environment (e.g. AWS)
- Experience implementing workflows to process high-throughput sequencing data, and performing downstream analysis that generates biological insights
- Motivated with ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Team player with ability to work successfully across functions
