Vice President of Strategy & Transformation

The Vice President Transformation will partner with the corporate leadership team and lead transformation initiatives across the organization. The primary responsibility it to lead the our transformation program to accelerate innovation, drive efficiencies, modernize the way we operate, and to secure our competitive advantage. Further, the leader will also partner with the Chief Strategy Officer to evaluate strategic growth alternatives, including: mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, license agreements, and strategic investments that support the company’s overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up transformation
    • Lead the transformation office and build a matrixed team of workstream leads. Make day-to-day transformation program level decisions, track results, and coordinate governance process
    • Act as a “challenge and support” partner to senior executives and their teams to help achieve targeted results.
    • Lead and mentor the transformation team
  • Lead implementation
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute the company wide transformation program
    • Ensure initiatives move into implementation and drive fast, pragmatic execution.
    • Lead the execution of specific initiatives
    • Serve as a support function, allowing line functions to focus on implementation.
  • Report and course correct
    • Track initiative progress to create transparency and enable better, faster decision-making and results predictability.
    • Provide consistency in internal discussions and Board updates.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement
  • Be a key thought partner for CSO on wide range of business, technology and operations topics

Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the strategy and corporate development team and the initiative owners of the transformation program.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree minimum; MBA/MS preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, strategy or investment banking
  • Proven track record of leading transformation initiatives and driving business growth.
  • Ability to challenge initiative owners in a constructive way with respect to overall feasibility and impact of initiatives
  • Broad set of influencing skills (ability to influence people and strategic direction without direct control and/or authority)
  • Self-driven with a high level of motivation and determination
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced “private equity like” environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent leadership and communication abilities, strong financial skills
  • Technology industry background
